Wat erin zit

The production of concrete is responsible for roughly 8% of global CO₂ emissions, a burden driven primarily by the clinker used in Portland cement. Existing concrete recycling practices, however, mainly target the recovery of aggregates, while the cementitious component is discarded as a low-grade filler rather than being reused. Consequently, these practices leave the main environmental impact of concrete largely unaddressed. This PhD project therefore examined how End-of-Life concrete can be transformed into a source of secondary cementitious materials through characterization, separation and upcycling of residual cementitious fines (RCF). The attached zip file contains data generated as part of the PhD dissertation titled: "Circular use of concrete fractions - Unlocking the potential of residual cementitious fines recovered from End-of-Life concrete: From pre-demolition characterization to high-value clinker replacement." As part of this research, an innovative recycling framework was developed for the downstream processing of End-of-Life concrete, addressing the entire process from pre-demolition characterization to separation optimization and upcycling treatments. …
