Wat erin zit
This dataset contains survey data collected from over 1,700 artisanal and small-scale gold miners in Ghana between 2013 and 2015. The data were gathered as part of an independent evaluation of a Fairtrade-aligned responsible mining intervention implemented. The survey includes detailed information on miners’ socio-economic characteristics, earnings, health outcomes, working conditions, and risk preferences. The dataset supports a difference-in-differences analysis of the effects of voluntary sustainability standards on income and health outcomes in the artisanal mining sector. Personally identifying information has been removed to ensure respondent anonymity.
