Het betreft hier militaire stafkaarten (schaal 1:25.000) van de jaren 1944, series GSGS 4427 en GSGS 4414 (GSGS = Geographical Section General Staff). In de Tweede Wereldoorlog werden op initiatief van de Amerikaanse Army Map Service (AMS) in Washington DC en het Engelse War Office in Londen kaarten van strategisch gelegen gebieden in de bezette gebieden vervaardigd.
