Guide for semi-structured interviews to investigate mechanisms of digital inequality in transport

The files below contain a guide to conduct semi-structured interviews in order to investigate mechanisms of digital inequality in transport: the barriers that people may face using transport due to digital transformations, how they cope with these barriers and what the consequences are, especially in terms of social inclusion. The transcripts of the interviews contain sensitive personal information and could therefore not be included here. N=39 interviews were conducted in Dutch with this guide, between 2020 and 2021, among people with a non-western migration background, older adults and people with a lower education level. The latter included people with a mild cognitive impairment and people with lower literacy skills. The document below is just a guide and needs to be adapted to each individual. This study was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.We trialled the interview guide to refine the questions.
