This dataset accompanies the publication "Upscaled Discrete Element Modelling of wet granulation in a rotating drum" , https://doi.org/10.1016/j.apt.2026.105343, and contains simulation data and scripts for reproducing the base-case simulations and analysing granules in the drum granulator.Wet agglomeration is a complex particulate process involving microscale mechanisms such as particle coalescence and breakage. Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulations provide insight into these mechanisms but are computationally demanding for large-scale systems. In this work, a Graph Network Analysis (GNA)-based framework is introduced to identify and characterise granules within dense granular systems. Furthermore, upscaling by coarse graining (CG) is applied to improve computational efficiency of DEM while preserving key granulation characteristics. The dataset contains DEM simulation outputs generated using YADE for wet granulation in a rotating drum, together with the scripts required for simulation execution and granule identification. The provided data can be used to reproduce the simulations presented in the publication, visualise particle-scale dynamics, and perform further analysis of …
