One dataset for each Research Chapter of the dissertation:Minimizing sensor-sample distance: diamond membranes and pillars (Chapter 3)Observation and control of hybrid spin-wave-Meissner-current transport modes. (Chapter 4)Temperature-tunable spin-wave refraction using superconducting control elements (Chapter 5) These separate datasets containThe images of the fabrication process described in Chapter 3. Data files (.txt) used to generate the images of Chapter 4Data files (.mat) and MATLAB code (.m) used to generate the images of Chapter 5Each .zip file contains a readme file describing the dataset. The research objective was to measure the change in the spin-wave dispersion that happens when placing a superconducting layer on top of an insulating ferromagnet. We extract the dispersion by imaging the spatial standing microwave fields generated by the spin-wave stray field, which interfere with a reference field. The standing microwave field is encoded in the contrast of the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center's electron spin resonance. We place a diamond with shallow implanted (70 nm) NV centers near the surface on top of yttrium iron garnet (YIG). On top of YIG we sputtered the …
