The Design of Central Fresh Water Cooling System for a 16000t Submarine Cable Laying Ship

This paper presents a design scheme of central fresh water cooling system for a 16000 ton submarine cable laying vessel. For the new system design scheme of the central fresh water cooling system, HYSYS software is used to simulate the steady state under various working conditions, and FLUENT software is used to simulate the temperature field of the mixing pipeline in the system. Through the simulation results, the operation of the system under various load conditions on a 16000t submarine cable laying ship is obtained, and the parameter configuration and commissioning of the system on the real ship are guided. At the same time, the pipeline layout scheme in the system is simulated and analyzed, and the optimal pipeline layout scheme and temperature monitoring layout position are obtained.
