Initiating formal investigations in the state aid regime

The dataset consists of all state aid cases for which formal investigations were initiated between January 2004 and December 2018. The data have been derived from the European Commission's publicly accessible State Aid Register and include state aid case characteristics such as associated policy goals and policy instruments and the member state responsible for implementing these state aid cases. On the basis of this dataset, descriptive statistics were created for the following article: Van Druenen, R. (2020).
