Wetlands zijn de natte natuurgebieden in Nederland. Het Wetland verdrag is op 2 februari 1971 te Ramsar in Iran ondertekend. Het Ramsar Verdrag heeft tot doel Wetlands en de daarbij behorende plant- en diersoorten te beschermen.
