Economic Indicators, Rental Price Developments and Institutional Investor Survey Data for the Dutch Free Market Rental Sector (1960–2023): Research Data Supporting the Dissertation A Balancing Act.

Wat erin zit
This data collection accompanies the PhD dissertation A balancing act: The interplay between market forces and government intervention in the Dutch free market rental sector . The collection contains two complementary datasets. The first dataset consists of annual indicators on rental prices, inflation, interest rates, GDP growth, housing supply, owner-occupied house prices and institutional market rents derived from multiple public and proprietary sources. The second dataset contains aggregated survey results on investment criteria used by Dutch institutional residential investors. Together, the datasets support the quantitative and qualitative analyses of rental price developments, investment behaviour and the impact of government intervention within the Dutch free market rental sector. Confidential source-level data have been excluded from publication. Only aggregated, processed and non-traceable data are included. The datasets were used for descriptive analyses, correlation analyses, regression modelling and the assessment of institutional investor decision-making.
