Data and scripts underlying the publication: Modelling Free-flowing Sodium Borohydride in the Dense Flow Regime using DEM

What's in it
This dataset contains the data used to generate the results presented in our publication: Modelling free-flowing sodium borohydride in the dense flow regime using DEM. The main goal of the paper is to model the flow behaviour of sodium borohydride (NaBH4). This material is considered a novel granular maritime fuel, and since we restrict ourselves to dry storage and handling conditions, we model purely free-flowing behaviour (for more information regarding the flow behaviour of NaBH4, see our previous study: Experimental Characterisation of Granular Sodium Borohydride Under Varying Operational Conditions Across Flow Regimes). The data mainly contains experimental measurements, simulation files, and analytical scripts. We provide details regarding the used NaBH4 samples, the methodology, the three experimental and numerical setups: ledge test, rotating drum, and inclined surface test, inertial number analysis, raw table files, and supportive information. Additionally, preliminary analyses and supportive data that were left out of the published manuscript, but aid in understanding the work, are included. The provided simulations can be run using the (commercial) software EDEM and …
