This dataset contains estimated Line-of-Sight Gravity Difference (LGD) observations derived from the GRACE inter-satellite Ka-band ranging system. The data are based on the CSR RL06 range-rate geo-fit and post-fit residual products and are represented in the LGD domain using the transfer function described by Ghobadi-Far et al. (2018), with modifications at low frequencies as described in the accompanying README file. The dataset provides both the monthly geo-fit LGD component and the sub-monthly post-fit residual LGD component, enabling analyses of gravity variations from monthly to sub-monthly temporal scales over the GRACE mission period (Cuadrat-Grzybowski et al. 2025). Both monthly and sub-monthly components are band-pass filtered in the frequency range [0.9, 11] mHz. This filtering removes long-wavelength, low-frequency gravity signals (approximately corresponding to spherical harmonic degrees below 5), which are dominated by increased instrument noise in the residual GRACE inter-satellite ranging observations. Therefore, even though this dataset provides global coverage, it is particularly well-suited for local and regional mass-change studies, where higher …
