What's in it
In this study, we investigated whether assimilating water level observations can improve salinity forecasts in the Rhine–Meuse Delta. An Ensemble Kalman Filter was implemented to assimilate water level observations in a three-dimensional hydrodynamic model. The dataset includes two NetCDF datasets containing model output data of salinity and waterlevel for the reference simulation and for the ensemble kalman filter experiment and a README.txt file with additional information.
