What's in it
This dataset corresponds to the article "A novel reduced-order model for climate impact assessment of aircraft engines: Climate Functions for Engine Design (CFED 1.0)", currently under review. The dataset can reproduce Figures 2-13 and Appendix Figure C1. The dataset was collected primarily to generate the mathematical Climate Functions for Engine Design (CFED) equations. The authors acknowledge the use of computational resources of the DelftBlue supercomputer, provided by the Delft High Performance Computing Centre (https://www.tudelft.nl/dhpc). The datasets presented here can be used to derive the CFED equations independently, following the steps as described in the article. The emission inventory results were based on the in-house emission inventory model at TU Delft (Kroon (2022); Jahjah (2025)). The climate modelling was carried out in OpenAirClim v0.16, commit 06870bd (https://github.com/dlr-pa/oac). The air traffic fuel consumption growth scenario was derived based on the air traffic and fleet modelling activities carried out in the MINIMAL project (https://www.minimal-aviation.eu/wp-content/uploads/MINIMAL_DEL_D1.1_V1.0_EC-approved.pdf). The CFED equations are designed to …
