This repository dataset comprises the experimental data (raw and processed) and diagnostic analysis codes supporting the results presented in Chapters 4 and 5 of the PhD thesis, “Experimental thermodynamic analysis of premixed methanol combustion in marine spark and compression ignition engines.” This part of the research develops a combustion mode analysis framework to apply to the experimental studies conducted on a single-cylinder diesel engine setup running on methanol premixed dual-fuel operation. The experimental heat release analysis has the same foundation as the one in Chapter 3 and the NG LBSI engine. The framework employed for the experimental data analysis codes is primarily described in Chapter 4, since Chapter 5 primarily expands this framework by applying it to more datasets analysing the parametric investigations on the engine.
